About Us

We are a small carving workshop, where wood is still carved by hand with the gouge. To us a carving is more than ornament: worked by hand, it has a life and a cut that a machine cannot match, and it lasts as long as the building or the piece. That is what our work is about.

We match each carving to the work. The timber, the design and the period all matter. We advise and carve what suits the joinery and the building, honestly and without fuss.

We enjoy restoration and matching most of all. Matching a missing piece of old carving and making it good is the best work there is.
